Rural Southwest Neighborhood Planning Council Southside Bible Church – corner of S. Minges & Beckley Rd. Minutes of the April 9, 2013 Meeting Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:35 PM by Linda Morris. Members Present: Klingery Clingenpeel, Laura Clingenpeel, Linda Morris, George Wytko, Harry Zimmerman Citizens Present: Susan Cooley, Cindy Snyder, Robert Snyder City Officials: Christine Hilton (Planning Supervisor), and BCPD representative Officer Andrew Winer Due to the lack of quorum no minutes were approved. The NPC Code Report and the Crime Search Report were distributed. Officer Winer provided information concerning a couple who had been stealing metal objects from yards to sell for scrap. He indicated that any time a person sees suspicious activity in or around a home, parking lots, or outside of buildings please do call dispatch at the non-emergency number, 781-0912. This number can also be called to report and request road- kill clean up. If you wish to speak with Officer Winer, he can be reached at his voice mail number, 966-3306 ext. 2203 Chris Hilton explained that once a compliance complaint is entered into the computer system, it will appear on the next printed report. After that it will no longer appear. It merely means the complaint is in the system and being processed until the case is closed. Chris also reviewed and discussed the code concerning the parking of vehicles in front yards. The phone number to file a complaint is 966-3387. Old Business: None New Business: Linda reported that she and Harry had attended a Neighborhoods Inc. meeting in February. The focus of the meeting was the issue of access of government services, employment, and the lack of transportation. She also reported a series of times that meetings will be held on April 17 to provide input on the update of the master plan. Laura indicated she would attend. Others are welcome to attend as well. A motion to adjourn at 7:34 PM was made by Harry Zimmerman, seconded by Laura Clingenpeel. Next meeting: Tuesday May 14, 2013 at 6:30 pm at Southside Bible Church
