Rural Southwest Neighborhood Planning Council St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Minutes of the September 13, 2016 Meeting Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Vice Chair, George Wytko. Members Present: Kingery Clingenpeel, Laura Clingenpeel, Durward McCleary, Cindy Snyder, Robert Snyder, Shelby Winslow, George Wytko, Sally Wytko, Members Excused: Linda Morris, Harry Zimmerman City Officials Present: Planning Supervisor Chris Zuzga; BCPD Officer Rabbitt Approval of the Minutes: The minutes for May 10, 2016 were approved. Motions by R. Snyder/L. Clingenpeel. Chris Zuzga distributed the following information: - NPC 9 Code Report for 5/1/16 to 9/12/16 - DPW overview of responsibilities (goes in binder) - Community Services Inspections information (goes in binder) Chris also informed us that the day limit for compliance to code violations has been extended from 30 to 60 days. Public Service Announcements: Officer Rabbitt distributed the Crime Reports for August. We had comments and questions regarding large trucks on Beckley Rd., vacant houses, and speeding on Watkins Road. He reminded us to be mindful of what we leave visible in our car when it is parked, especially during the holiday season, and he encouraged us to remember to lock the windows and doors of our homes and vehicles. He hopes to address panhandling issues at our next meeting. Officer Rabbitt left his voicemail number for us: 966-3306 ext. 2174 Old Business: Shelby Winslow contacted three landscapers for bids on cleaning up the berm at Beckley Road and Lois Drive. The one bid which was returned gave an estimate of $2,102.27. This bid was beyond the grant limit afforded to NPCs. New Business: Although we decided to cancel the November meeting due to the election, we will discuss a date change for this meeting at our next meeting. Laura Clingenpeel and Cindy Snyder agreed to serve on a nominating committee for 2017 NPC officers. The meeting was adjourned at 7:31 p.m. Motions by S. Winslow/R.
