BAXTER CEMETERY COMMISSION MINUTES Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 4:00 PM “A Growing Community” Baxter City Hall, 13190 Memorywood Drive, Baxter, MN CALL TO ORDER The quarterly meeting of the Baxter Cemetery Commission was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chair Jeanette Ruff. ROLL CALL Members Present: Commissioner Robert Ehrich, Mayor Darrel Olson and Jeanette Ruff. Members Absent: Commissioners Robert Bradford and John Cremers. STAFF PRESENT: Administrative Assistant/Cemetery Overseer Mary Haugen. OTHERS PRESENT: Brenny Funeral Chapel Owner John Brenny. CONSENT AGENDA None. NEW BUSINESS 1. Columbarium Urn Discussion Ms. Haugen explained the City had received an inquiry on the types and size of urns the new columbarium would hold. The commission discussed the four types of urns and how the urns would fit in the columbarium. Staff will be creating shop drawings of the styles and sizes that will be appropriate for the niche. 2. Commission Opening Commissioner Bradford resigned his position on the commission. The commission now has two vacant seats. ADJOURN MOTION by Commissioner Ehrich, seconded by Chair Ruff to adjourn the meeting at 5:15 p.m. Motion unanimously approved.
