CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES Tuesday, January 03, 2023 at 6:45 PM Baxter City Hall, 13190 Memorywood Drive, Baxter, MN “A Growing Community” CALL TO ORDER Mayor Olson called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. ROLL CALL Mayor Darrel Olson and Council Members Connie Lyscio, Zach Tabatt, and Mark Cross were present. City Administrator Brad Chapulis and Assistant City Administrator Kelly Steele were present. BUSINESS ITEMS 1. Review and Select Applicants to Interview for Vacant Council Seat and Schedule Interviews City Administrator Chapulis explained applications for the vacant council seat were accepted through December 28, 2022. Four applications were received. Tonight, the council is asked to select which applicants they would like to interview and to identify a date to conduct the interviews. The week of January 17th has been previously identified as the week the interviews will be held. The council is also asked to provide administration interview questions by next Wednesday. Council Member Cross suggested the council interview all four applicants. The council consensus was to interview all four applicants and to conduct the interviews on Thursday, January 19th starting at 5:00 p.m. Thirty minutes will be allocated for each applicant. ADJOURN MOTION by Council Member Cross, seconded by Council Member Lyscio to adjourn at 6:50 p.m. Motion unanimously carried.
