Adjourn Neighborhood Services Department • Suite 211 • City Hall 301 Washington Avenue • Bay City, MI 48708 www.baycitymi.org  Public Notice - Zoning Board of Appeals The City of Bay City Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 301 Washington Avenue, Bay City, Michigan to consider the request for the variance from zoning regulations described below. Case Z15-10 - 1012 Murphy Street - David Doran Property The applicant is requesting a variance from the zoning regulation governing the surface area of paved driveways and parking areas permitted in the front yards of residential lots. Section 122-381 of the city’s zoning regulations entitles the property to a 26.25 foot wide driveway with a surface area of 550 square feet. The applicant’s existing driveway is located in his property’s front yard and is 24 feet and 480 square feet in width and surface area, respectively. The applicant wishes to construct a second driveway of identical dimensions and surface area. The second driveway would exceed the maximum width and surface area permitted by zoning regulations by Section 122-381 by 21.75 feet and 410 square feet, respectively. The second driveway cannot be constructed in the property’s front yard as proposed unless a variance from Section 122-381 of the zoning regulations is granted. 1012 Murphy You are entitled to inspect information related to and express your opinion about this matter at the public hearing, by U.S. mail to the Neighborhood Services Department, by email to smckillop@baycitymi.org or by phone at (989) 894-8179 before 4:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing.
