ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 26, 2018 A REGULAR MEETING of the Zoning Board of Adjustment was held on Monday, February 26, 2018, in the Bayonne High School Auditorium, 669 Avenue A, Bayonne, New Jersey. Chairman Urban called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Commissioner Egan called the roll. Present at the meeting were Chairman Urban, Commissioners Adams, Egan, LeFante, Pelliteri, Dorans, Lombari and De Ros. Commissioners Pineiro, DiLullo and Simmons were absent. Also present was Richard N. Campisano, Esq., Board Counsel and Lillian Glazewski, Land Use Administrator. After the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, Chairman Urban declared a quorum and advised that the Board had complied with the Open Public Meetings Act/Sunshine Law. Adoption of Minutes: Commissioner Adams made a motion to adopt the minutes of the regular meeting held on January 22, 2017. Commissioner Lombari seconded the motion and a unanimous vote of eligible members followed. Communications: Notice of Adjournment: A request from Paul Weeks, Esq., attorney for application Z-17- 029 Broadway Realty, LLC located at 377 Broadway in City Block 239, Lot 13, wherein the applicant is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval, use and bulk variance relief to permit a ground floor residential apartment to adjourn the application to the next regular meeting of the Zoning Board scheduled for March 19, 2018. Zoning Board of Adjustment February 26, 2018 Regular Meeting Minutes Page 2 Commissioner Adams made a motion to adjourn the application to March 19, 2018 without further notice required. Commissioner Egan seconded the motion and a unanimous vote of eligible members followed. Public Hearing: Whispering Woods Hearing in Accordance with the Settlement Agreement Executed by the Bayonne Muslims, et al v. The City of Bayonne, et al Z-15-018 BAYONNE MUSLIMS A NJ NONPROFIT CORP. – Site: 109 East 24th Street in City Block 443, Lot 5.01 [The applicant is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval, conditional use and bulk variance relief to construct a Muslim Community Center at the site.] Board counsel, Richard Campisano, Esq., advised that the Bayonne Muslims application will not move forward due to an error in the notice that was sent to the homeowner’s within 200 feet of the proposed site and published in the newpaper. Mr. Campisano stated that this matter would be rescheduled and a new notice of the meeting date will be provided to the homeowner’s as well as published in the newspaper as required by law. A motion was made to close the meeting at 6:15 p.m. A video recording of the meeting was taken. /lg
