Special Meeting
July 6, 2021 ( Tuesday)
6: 00 PM
This meeting was open to the public and attended both in-person and via the Zoom video
conference platform.
Mayor Russell C. Nelson called the meeting to order. Council Members in attendance were:
Brad Cooper, Mike Meis, Jim Simon, Kristine Menicucci, Jim Doyle and Ken Smith.
City staff in attendance were City Manager Ted Barkley, City Attorney Rick Ramler, City
Clerk Susan Caldwell and Human Resources Manager Sherry Brown.

Others in attendance via Zoom were Greg Prothman and Diana Setterberg. 4
PUBLIC FORUM
Mayor Nelson called three times for public comment. There being none, public forum was
closed.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Discuss Applicants for the position of City Manager and review list of finalists for interview
At 6: 07pm, Mayor Nelson announced the closure of the public portion of the meeting and
opened the Executive Session to discuss hiring strategy related to the position of City Manager.
City Council Members, City Manager, City Clerk, Human Resources Manager and Executive
Recruitment agent Greg Prothman remained in session.
At 7: 06pm, Mayor Nelson ended the executive session and reopened the meeting to the public.
