Note: This meeting was not recorded due to technical issues. Commission members Present: Amy Chaloupka (Chair), Phillip Freytag, Patricia McDonnell, and Jody Bento Commission Members Absent: Eric Shew and Patricia McDonnell Staff Members Present/ Presenters: Tara Sundin, PCDD; Darby Galligan, PCDD; Taylor Webb, PCDD; Deborah Wessell, Columbia Neighborhood Association 2. Approval of September Minutes p. 2 Approval of the September minutes will be moved to the November meeting Agenda Items Presentation 1. Padden Creek Percent for Arts Approach p. 6 This item will be moved to the November meeting. 2. Columbia Neighborhood Signs p. 22 The Columbia Neighborhood Association was awarded a Mayor’s Small and Simple grant to make new neighborhood signs. Deborah Wessell, Columbia Neighborhood Association representative, presented two sign designs to the BAC. The neighborhood will vote on which of the two designs to use. The commissioners liked both options and are in support of the neighborhood choosing which design to use. 3. Downtown Activation and Beautification RFP Update p. 25 Darby gave a brief overview of the edits made to the second round of Downtown Activation and Beautification grants. No major changes were made, but more emphasis was put on submissions for activations and events. Commissioners expressed some concern about the short timeline to submit applications and suggested edits to the  image text for the Old Fire Station No. 1 mural. Amy Chaloupka volunteered to represent the BAC on the jury. Other Business 1. Public Comment Period 2.
