City of Bellingham Finance, Personnel and Economic Development Committee Minutes January 28, 2019, 1:10 PM Mayor Kelli Linville Contact: (360) 778-8200, ccmail@cob.org Council Members, Pinky Vargas, Chair www.cob.org/council Michael Lilliquist, Hannah Stone All meetings are held in the City Hall Council Chambers at 210 Lottie Street, Bellingham, WA, unless otherwise noted. Call to Order Roll Call Council Standing Committee Meetings: Open to the public to attend. Note: there is generally no public comment period for Committee sessions. Standing Committee Members receive reports and information, ask questions and, when appropriate, vote on a recommended action for consideration by the full Council at the Regular Meeting. The notice of Committee Meetings identified below also serves as notice of Special Meetings of the City Council at the times identified as Council Members who are not members of the committee routinely attend and participate in the Committee Meetings. Committee Chairs give a report of the Committee Meeting at the Regular Meeting in the evening prior to deliberation and formal vote in the order shown below: Finance, Personnel and Economic Development Hannah Stone, Chair April Barker; Pinky Vargas 22185 1. Resolution to Change Parks and Recreation Department Facility Use p. 3 Fees Parks and Recreation Director Leslie Bryson introduced the resolution. Recreation Manager Melissa Bianconi presented the 2019 proposed fee changes. Michael Lilliquist moved to recommend approval. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. 22186 2. Resolution to Increase Fees at Bayview Cemetery p. 13 Parks and Recreation Director Leslie Bryson introduced the resolution. Park Operations Manager Steve Janiszewski went through the proposed changes. Hannah Stone moved to recommend approval. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. Resolution to Establish Green Fees for the Use of Lake Padden Golf p. 21 Course Parks and Recreation Director Leslie Bryson introduced the resolution. Park Operations Manager Steve Janiszewski provided more information on the fees. Michael Lilliquist moved to recommend approval. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. Adjournment Committee adjourned at 1:43 PM.
