Dan Hammill / Terry Bornemann moved to recommend having staff bring back a
resolution with the changes contained in the amended version and to have the
Greenways IV placed on the November ballot
MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
6. Approval of City Council Committee and/or Special Meeting Minutes
Gene Knutson / Roxanne Murphy moved approval of the May 2 minutes as
submitted.
MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
7. Old/New Business
1. Pinky Vargas asked Peter Ruffatto to explain the procedure for Council voting on a
proposed ballot issue. To avoid partisan politics, the Council should host a public
hearing. Presenting pro and con viewpoints is optional.
2. Roxanne Murphy / Gene Knutson moved to recommend asking staff to schedule a
public hearing regarding initiative 1433 for June 20
MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
3. April Barker thanked Chief Cook and his staff for organizing a Peace Officer
Memorial Vigil.

Open to the public to attend. Note: there is generally no public comment period for
Committee sessions. Standing Committee Members receive reports and information, ask
questions and, when appropriate, vote on a recommended action for consideration by
the full Council at the Regular Meeting. The notice of Committee Meetings identified
below also serves as notice of Special Meetings of the City Council at the times identified
as Council Members who are not members of the committee routinely attend and
participate in the Committee Meetings. Committee Chairs give a report of the
Committee Meeting at the Regular Meeting in the evening prior to deliberation and
formal vote in the order shown below:
