Overview of CenturyLink's Application for a Cable Television Franchise INFORMATION ONLY: A Public Hearing will be held in the evening. 21677 2. Incarceration Prevention and Reduction Behavioral Health Subcommittee Phase III Recommendation INFORMATION ONLY 21678 3. Discussion of Draft City Council Communications Plan Murphy / Vargas moved to recommend approval of the Council Communications Plan MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 21679 4. Criminal Justice Committee Barker / Hammill moved to recommend approval April Barker as committee chair MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 1 Barker / Hammill moved to recommend approval of Pinky Vargas and Dan Hammill as committee members Bornemann nominated himself as a committee member Dan Hammill withdrew his nomination and by voice vote Terry Bornemann and Pinky Vargas were appointed as members MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 21680 5. Update on Pilot Project for Inquiries, Reports, and Complaints INFORMATION ONLY 6. Approval of City Council Committee and/or Special Meeting Minutes Gene Knutson / Roxanne Murphy moved to recommend approval MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 7. Old/New Business Councilmember Lilliquist: The Council Office will be closed for a short vacation July 27-31. Community members are still welcome to contact individual Councilmembers. Councilmember Hammill: He thanked Mayor Linville and Councilmembers Barker and Vargas for volunteering with him at Project Homeless Connect that served 515 people who are living unsheltered. A variety of services were provided. Councilmember Barker: She requested an extension of the 15-minute limit for presentations to invite speakers to present on the Master Leasing Program in the evening in the near future. She asked for 20-25 minutes, and the Council assented. Councilmember Vargas: She thanked Dan Hammill for his leadership in Project Homeless Connect. She announced the Tourism Grant cycle and encouraged people to submit proposals. There are two grants available: one for $5,000 and one for $25,000. The City Council will post the information on its webpage. Adjournment 2
