Planning
20496 1. A Work Session to consider a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from
the Sunnyland Neighborhood Association to rezone approximately 4
acres of land in Areas 1, 1A and 8 of the Sunnyland Neighborhood
Gene Knutson moved to recommend approval of the staff's proposal.
MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
20497 2. Discussion regarding a resolution to docket three proposed
comprehensive plan amendments for review in the upcoming year
Roxanne Murphy moved to recommend approval of first two proposals for docket
and the third to hold for more neighborhood meetings and staff review.
MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
These are three things Roxanne Murphy would like staff and administration to explore
about the Rental Safety Registration Program:
1. Exploring the option of voluntary rental inspections, and if a property owner was to
do so, what benefit it would net them, for example, not having to pay a registration fee
or no inspections for a certain number of years.
2. Stepping up the fee for those who do not comply with our code enforcement or
building inspection findings.
3. Taking a good look at the City's code enforcement laws, and exploring what other
cities do, to add more teeth to our code enforcement and create better public safety.
