Call to order and roll call Council President Stone called the meeting to order at 2:40 p.m. Present: Committee Chair Hollie Huthman, Second Ward Committee Member Lisa Anderson, Fifth Ward Committee Member Michael Lilliquist, Sixth Ward 24929 1. A resolution creating a limited-term advisory work group to study and make recommendations regarding City landlord and tenant programs Summary: Janice Keller, Deputy City Administrator, Blake Lyon, Planning and Community Development Director, and Julia Burns, Rental Protection Program Specialist, presented the resolution, which creates a limited-term advisory work group to study and make recommendations regarding City landlord and tenant programs. Council Members discussed the resolution and work group and asked questions. Action: Lisa Anderson moved to amend the resolution in Section 1a., "Tenant Experience: At least 4 residents who are currently tenants, including students in off-campus housing, and at least 1 that is income restrained, in Bellingham. Action: Lisa Anderson moved to postpone the motion until staff can provide additional language that reflects the intention of including one income limited renter in the workgroup. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
