Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Council President Vargas at 1:00 p.m.
21461 1. 2017 Council Reorganization
Nomination/Elections of Officers for 2017:
Gene Knutson nominated Michael Lilliquist to be Council President. Pinky Vargas moved to
approve Michael Lilliquist as Council President. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
COUNCIL PRESIDENT: Michael Lilliquist
Council President Vargas turned the gavel over to Council President Lilliquist, who chaired
the remainder of the meeting.
April Barker nominated Roxanne Murphy for Council President Pro Tempore. Terry
Bornemann nominated Dan Hammill for Council President Pro Tempore. Dan Hammill
declined the nomination. Michael Lilliquist moved to approve Roxanne Murphy as Council
President Pro Tempore. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
COUNCIL PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE: Roxanne Murphy
Terry Bornemann nominated Dan Hammill for Mayor Pro Tempore. Dan Hammill declined
the nomination. Roxanne Murphy nominated April Barker for Mayor Pro Tempore. Michael
Lilliquist moved to approve April Barker as Mayor Pro Tempore. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.

Michael Lilliquist moved to approve all of the committee assignments, Ex-officio and other
Council Assignments, and Ad hoc Working Groups. MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
Discussion on Council staffing needs followed. City Council also discussed their office move
that is scheduled to take place within the next month.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:00 pm.
