WTA Contract Presented by Brian Henshaw. This is the fourth renewal through the first five years. Most of the routes and hours remain fixed with a small increase in the hourly rates. This contract is good until the end of 2015. Next year the TBD Board will need to work with WTA to reach agreement about whether a contract will continue. Gene Knutson/Roxanne Murphy motioned to approve the contract. 1  MOTION CARRIED 6-0. Bornemann excused. Request by WTA (added to agenda at meeting): Presented by Ted Carlson. WTA has requested TBD funding from the transit one-third fund for improvements on the Bellis Fair Parkway bus route at the mall. Cost is approximately $450,000 for the project. Public Works recommends using the remaining $250,000 of transit one-third funds for this capital project. Jack Weiss/Roxanne Murphy moved to allocate up to $250,000 conditioned on Ted Carlson's explanation of 2015 balances in the transit component of the TBD fund. Cathy Lehman offered a friendly amendment of "up to $225,000," thus splitting the cost. No objections to the amendment. AMENDED MOTION CARRIED 5-1. Opposed: Lilliquist; Bornemann excused. 2. TBD Workplan Staff will schedule a follow-up TBD meeting to bring the workplan back so that more time can be dedicated to presentation and discussion. 3. TBD Proposed Budget Presented by Brian Henshaw. Michael Lilliquist/Gene Knutson moved approval of TBD budget MOTION CARRIED 6-0. Bornemann excused.
