Call to Order
Commission Chair Addie Candib called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM

Commissioner Appointment
Welcomed Jamin Agosti to his first Transportation Commission meeting as a commission member.
Commission Member Roles and Responsibilities Under the Open Public Meeting Act and Public Records Act
Sara Chaplin gave a presentation on the roles and responsibilities of the OPMA and PRA. Then Ms. Chaplin
answered Commissioner questions regarding the OPMA and PRA.
Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) Rapid Transit Study, Phase 2
Hayden Richardson with WTA presented on Phase 2 of the Rapid Transit Study. WTA and City staff answered
Commissioner questions and collected Commissioner comments regarding the Phase 2 Rapid Transit Study.
Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program (NTSP)
Shane Sullivan presented on the NTSP. City staff answered Commission questions and collected Commissioner
comments regarding the NTSP. City staff stated they will return at the September Commission meeting with
more information.
Chair Report
The combined meeting with the Planning Commission will be Thursday, August 1st from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Pacific
Street Operations Center.
