Roll Call Present: Bret Beaupain (Board Member), Benjamin Cairns (Board Member), Rick Eggerth (Board Member), Martin Kjelstad (Board Member), Kirsten McDade (Board Member), Fiona McNair (Board Member), John Peppel (Board Member), Laura Weiss (Board Member), Francesca White (Board Member) Staff Members Present: Renee LaCroix, Mike Olinger, Eric Johnston, Mike Wilson, Riley Grant, Michelle Cristelli, Rush Duncan Approval of Minutes Draft minutes from the 6/18/24 and 7/23/24 meetings will be approved at the 9/24/24 meeting. Agenda Items . CAMRA Discussion Potential tool for Community Asset Management Risk Assessment. Addresses physical assets as well as strategy, organization, processes, and technology. Focus on making educated decisions to accept risk exposure or reduce vulnerability by managing contributing factors. Plan to discuss further in an upcoming meeting. . Water System Plan The goal was to seek input from community members on values and priorities to inform City investments in water system maintenance and expansion in the coming decades. 200 respondents and in-person commenters, strategy was to gauge importance without requiring extensive background in water system or water management programs. CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) will include these values, there will also be a public meeting and draft plan available to review this Fall or Winter. This will be an appendix to the Water System Plan. . Draft Lake Whatcom Management Program 2025-2029 5-Year Work Plan Plan will be posted to the City website (Engage Bellingham) for public feedback.
