Draft: June 12, 2023 Village of Bellport Work Session Board Meeting June 12, 2023 AGENDA This meeting is open to the public in the Village Community Center, on Bell Street. It is an in- person meeting and will be streamed on Zoom. --------------- 1) Treasurer’s Report: a) Review of the year-to-date financials through May 31, 2023. 2) Discussion: Bellport Village 2023-2024 Municipal Insurance Renewal by Salerno Brokerage Corp., letter from Nicole Morton, President, dated May 23, 2023 (Exhibit 1) 3) DPW Human Resource Update: Resignation of Tyler Furia, AEO, effective June 16, 2023. Tyler will pursue a new position with SCWA. (Exhibit 2) 4) Proposal: Recommendation for a promotion to Joseph Petroski, by Jason Crane, Superintendent, from laborer to AEO (Automotive Equipment Operator). In addition, Seasonal Employee, Carson Nagle, is to accept Laborer duties, at a rate of $17.00 per hour. (Exhibit: 3) 5) Discussion: Proposal regarding CDL Training, where the Village would reimburse an employee up to $3,000.00 for training for a Class B License. The employee must remain in the Village’s employ for three years, otherwise the employee will be required to reimburse the total of the training expense (Exhibit 4) 6) Discussion: Two youth volunteers are interested in working in Village Hall for two weeks, June 26, through July 7, 2023. They will be assigned to the Treasure’s Department. (Exhibit 5) 7) Discussion Update: The 2023 Bellport Bay 5K Race, Sunday, July 9, 2023. The Candidates running for Mayor and 2 Trustee seats are: Mayor: Maureen Veitch Kieran Murphy Trustee: Michael R. Young Lorraine Kuehn Registration Day, will be held on, June 10, 2023, at 12pm -5pm in Village Hall. All registrants must have a valid resident ID card.
