3) Treasurer’s Reports - Financial Abstracts and Summary of Abstracts
Review of year-to-date financials through March 31, 2023:
4) Resolution: _____ Approve General Fund Checking Abstract Report #1, Consisting
of 73 vendors totaling $259,507.18
5) Resolution: _____ Approve Enterprise Fund Checking Abstract Report #2, Consisting
of 26 vendors totaling: $163,760.00
6) Resolution# _____ Accept and approve the 2023 HUD Community Block Grant funding,
in the amount of $50,000, for the Bellport Village Senior Program by the administrator,

13) Resolution # _____ Approve funding for Bellport Village Golf Couse Building Project,
by Eric Bjorneby, RA, President, EAB Architectural, not to exceed $30,000.
14) Resolution # _____ Approve the donation of a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban from the
Bellport Fire District.
15) Updates:
a) Shore Road Project, elevation changes and start date of the project.
b) FEMA Main Pier Project submission of partial payment request for $1.272M, of
which the Village will receive 90%, or $1.148M. This is the first approved payment
request by New York State Department of Homeland Security – Emergency Services
(NYS DHSES). This week, we are continuing the submission payment process to
NYS DHSES with the next tranche of $721K. We anticipate two additional requests,
equaling a total of $1.107M, the remaining fees of the project.
On February 13, 2023, the Village received its first FEMA partial payment, of
$1,138,642.92, directly into our Dime Bank account.
c) Congressionally Directed Spending Requests Fiscal Year 2022: $2.8M Awarded
March 11, 2022 for the Marina Basin and Hum Marina; Received Letter of Invitation
(LOI) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and
guidelines on July 28, 2022.
The Grant Award of up to $2.8M, at 75% of the total cost, whereby the Village would
fund the remaining 25%, or $933,333, for a total potential project of $3,733,333. This
2022 Congressional Spending Allocation Grant Award has been offered by the Federal
Government through HUD.

d) Submission on March 6, 2023 - Congressionally Directed Spending Request, Fiscal Year
2024 – Howells Point Coastal Resiliency Project: The Village’s $4.44M Submission
includes: Terminus of 3 Streets: S. Howells, Thornhedge, Otis, and the erosion on
Howells Creek. It was delivered to Senator Schumer’s and Gillibrand’s Offices via a
federal internet portal and we are hopeful for the next step in the process with the
approval Senate Appropriations Committee for further consideration. In addition, we are
completed our submission to US Representative Garbarino’s Office, on March 14, 2023.

e) Village Hall Restoration, Diego Stiesel and Jason Crane: Remediation Budget and
Timing - Façade, Roof, Wall Structure
d) Update: The 2023 Bellport Village Election Updates:
Village Election, will be held on, Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Bellport Community
Center, located at 4 Bell Street, Bellport NY 11713 from the hours of 7:00am –
9:00pm. The Candidates running for Mayor and 2 Trustee seats will be:

Kieran Murphy
Trustee: Michael R. Young
Lorraine Kuehn
Registration Day, will be held on, June 10, 2023 at 12pm -5pm in Village Hall. All
registrants must have a valid resident ID card. ID cards will not be printed after
12pm on Saturday June 10, 2023.
e) Village Hall is open on Saturday’s mornings, starting May 6, through July 8, 2023,
from 9am -12pm.

16) Resolution # ____ Special Events
a. Bellport – Brookhaven Historical Society and Friends of Bellport Bay –
Childrens’ Event: Seine Netting on the Bay at Mothers’ Beach, on Saturday, July
22, 2023 (rain date: July 29th), from 8:30AM-11:30AM, 40-50 participants.
b. The Advance, Terry Tuthill to Moderate a “Debate on the Green” of the Mayoral
and Trustee Candidates for our upcoming election on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at
10AM (rain Date: June 17th), at the Village Hall Green
c. New York State Senator, Dean Murray, is hosting a Boater’s Safety Course taught
by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary on June 10, 2023, from 8:00AM – 5:00PM, a
full day event. The course is free for participants.
d. Opera Bellport with the Bellport Historical Society: Musical Evening Opera and
More – Saturday, July 22, 2023, form 5PM to 10:00PM, at the Bellport
Brookhaven Historical Society (alternate rain space our Village Community
Center).
