VILLAGE OF BIRON 451 KAHOUN ROAD, WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI 54494 PUBLIC WORKS, SANITATION & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 28th, 2025 10:00 A.M. Members Present: Tammy Steward, Chairperson (present by phone); Mike Guillemot and Dan Muleski Committee Members Others Present: Kayla Lumaye, Tim Hale, resident 1. Chairperson Tammy Steward called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m. 2. Discussion on Shore Acres Drive storm sewer rehabilitation – Kayla stated MSA was onsite doing surveying last week. Kayla is waiting to hear back from MSA on what they found while surveying. More information to come. 3. Discuss updates on Huffman Road project – Kayla stated that Wood County completed paving the road last week. Driveway tie-ins are scheduled for completion this week, followed by shouldering and the placement of black dirt for restoration. Grass seeding will be completed in the spring. Kayla stated that a revised proposal for striping was received. The original cost was $1,739.74, and the revised cost is $2,064.60. The striping work is scheduled to be completed this week. Tammy inquired about the possibility of lowering the speed limit to discourage vehicles from traveling at excessive speeds along the road. 4. Discuss updates in Bridgewater projects – Kayla stated that Wood County was completing the shaping of B Street today. C Street was graded yesterday, and the binder layer was placed on Waterview extension yesterday as well. By this afternoon, Waterview is expected to be surfaced. Shouldering and placement of black dirt for restoration will follow. Grass seeding will be completed in the spring. 5. Discussion on sale of Vac Truck and Ford pickup with salt dogg and plow – Kayla stated that both vehicles were sold on Wisconsin Surplus yesterday. The Ford sold for $28,000 and the Vac Truck for $22,250. Tammy asked that the money be put back into the non-lapsing truck/equipment line-item. 6. Superintendent’s report – Kayla stated that Summit Infrastructure is starting the manhole rehabilitation today. 7. Set next meeting date and time - Next meeting will be held on November 18th at 10:00 AM.
