Minutes
A meeting of the Hiring Committee was held at City Hall in the City of Black River Falls
on May 29, 2025 at 5:00pm. In attendance were Mayor Jay Eddy, Alderperson Justin
Dougherty, Alderperson Gary Ammann, Alderperson Desiree Gearing-Lancaster, Rural
Fire Board Chairperson Leonard Olson, Rural Fire Board Vice-Chairperson Brian
Dolesy, BRF Fire Department 1st Assistant Chief Darren Vase, and City Administrator
Brad Chown. Mayor Eddy presided.
1) The meeting was called to order by Mayor Eddy at 5:00pm.
2) It was moved by Alderperson Gearing-Lancaster, seconded by Alderperson
Dougherty to adjourn in to closed session for the purpose of considering
employment of a Fire Chief for the Black River Falls Fire Department over which the
governmental body has jurisdiction as authorized under Section 19.85(1)(c) of the
Wisconsin Statutes. Motion carried at 5:01pm.
