Friday, January 28, 2022 5:30 PM Cloverleaf Farm Room A Winter City Council Retreat NOTICE OF WORKSHOP MEETING 1 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sanders at 6:00 PM on January 28, 2022. 2 Roll Call PRESENT: Mayor Tim Sanders, Councilmembers Wes Hovland, Julie Jeppson, Chris Massoglia, Richard Paul, Jess Robertson and Jason Smith. ABSENT: None. Quorum Present. ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Michelle Wolfe; Community Development Director Erik Thorvig; Public Works Director Jon Haukaas; Police Chief/Safety Services Manager Brian Podany; Assistant City Manager/Finance Director Joe Huss; Director of Administration Cassandra Tabor; Deputy Finance Director Ali Bong; Senior Parks and Recreation Manager Jerome Krieger; City Planner Shelia Sellman; Communications Manager Ben Hayle; City Clerk Cathy Sorensen. 3 New Business 3-1 2021 Accomplishments and 2022 Goals and Projects Attachments: Presentation Council and staff reviewed the City’s 2021 accomplishments in detail and 2022 goals and projects. The Council shared the City’s newly released marketing video then recessed the meeting at 8:30 PM then reconvened on Saturday morning to discuss the 2023 proposed tax levy City of Blaine Page 1 City Council Workshop Minutes January 28, 2022 and general fund budget process, development flex residential expectations, and other topics. City Manager Wolfe stated discussions and direction would be shared with staff for follow up at future workshops. OTHER BUSINESS None. ADJOURN The workshop adjourned at 12:09 PM on January 29, 2022.
