Friday, October 7, 2022 6:00 PM Cloverleaf Farm Room A City Council Retreat NOTICE OF WORKSHOP MEETING 1 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sanders at 6:00 PM on October 7, 2022. 2 Roll Call PRESENT: Mayor Tim Sanders, Councilmembers Wes Hovland, Julie Jeppson, Chris Massoglia, Tom Newland, Richard Paul, Jess Robertson. ABSENT: None. Quorum Present. ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Michelle Wolfe; Community Development Director Erik Thorvig; Assistant Public Works Director Nick Fleischhacker; Safety Services Manager/Police Chief Brian Podany; Deputy Police Chief Dan Pelkey; Assistant City Manager/Finance Director Joe Huss; Director of Administration Cassandra Tabor; Deputy Finance Director Ali Bong; Budget/Finance Analyst Ward Brown; City Engineer Dan Schluender; Finance Analyst Jenna Trittin; Senior Parks and Recreation Manager Jerome Krieger; Public Service Worker Kristian Gaasland; Communications Manager Ben Hayle; City Planner Shelia Sellman; City Clerk Cathy Sorensen. Present: 6 - Councilmember Robertson, Councilmember Paul, Councilmember Hovland, Massoglia, Sanders, and Councilmember Jeppson 3 New Business 3-1 Multi-Family Housing Discussion Council and staff discussed multi-family housing in detail, reviewed other Council-related topics with the City Manager, then Council recessed the City of Blaine Page 1 City Council Workshop Minutes October 7, 2022 meeting at 8:30 PM. The Mayor reconvened Saturday morning to review and discuss the 2023 Capital Equipment Plan and general and EDA fund budgets and levies in detail. City Manager Wolfe stated discussions and direction would be shared with staff for follow up at future workshops. 3-2 City Council Discussion w/City Manager 4 Other Business None.
