CITY OF BLUE SPRINGS, MISSOURI MINUTES OF WORK SESSION MARCH 30, 2020 A Work Session of the City Council of the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, was held on Monday, March 30, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. with Mayor Carson Ross presiding. A State of Emergency for Jackson County, Missouri was declared on March 12, 2020 and subsequent amendments by Jackson County Executive Order requiring residents to stay at home and limiting public gatherings to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As provided in Sections 610.020(1) and 610.020.4 RSMo ., the City Council participated in this Work Session via video-conference and telephone to ensure safe social distancing measures were taken . The public was able to attend via telephone conference . COUNCILMEMBERS Jerry Kaylor Galen Ericson IN ATTENDANCE Chris Lievsay Kent Edmondson Ron Fowler Susan Culpepper CALL MEETING Mayor Ross called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:00 p.m. TO ORDER BLUE SPRINGS City Administrator Eric Johnson reviewed the Memorandum dated March EMERGENCY 27, 2020 to City Council outlining the actions taken to date. A copy of the PREPAREDNESS Memorandum is attached to these Minutes and incorporated herein. Chris UPDATE Sandie, Director of Public Works, presented an update from Central Jackson County Emergency Management Agency. Council and staff discussed future plans, including meetings and projects.
