CITY OF BLUE SPRINGS, MISSOURI MINUTES OF COUNCIL STRATEGIC PLANNING MAY 7, 2025 A Strategic Planning meeting of the City Counci l of the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, was held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 , 9:00 a.m. in the Administrative Tra ining Room of the Blue Springs City Hall, 903 W. Main Street with Mayor Chris Lievsay presiding . COUNCILMEMBERS IN Jerry Kaylor Galen Ericson ATTENDANCE Katie Tholen Kent Edmondson Nick Brummel Jeremy Rowan Also present were City Administrator Christine Cates, Assistant City Administrator Dennis Dovel and Assistant to the City Adm ini strator George Schmitz. CALL MEETING TO Mayor Lievsay called the Strategic Plann ing Session to order at 9:00 ORDER a.m. STRATEGIC PLANNING Maddi Powers Spencer, Michelle Kennedy, and Caitlin Phillips with BerryDunn facilitated the Strategic Planning Session and gave a presentation outlining responses to questions relating to the City's goals and vision. A copy of the presentation is attached to these Minutes and incorporated herein for reference . Counci l discussed a Mission Statement, Vision Statements, Core Values , and Strategic Priorities for the City. NEXT STEPS The next steps in the Strategic Planning process were discussed and include: • BerryDunn present a draft Strategic Plan at a June City Council Work Session . • The Strategic Plan will be presented to the City Council for adoption in July.
