Minutes of Parks & Recreation Commission Budget Committee Meeting 12pm; April 12, 2018 A special meeting of the Blue Springs Parks Commission Budget Committee was held on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 at 12pm at the Fieldhouse. Staff: Mary Herrington Michelle Brown – Parks Dept. Staff: Matt Asikainen Present(conference call) Parks Dept. Staff: Marty Bears Parks Dept. Staff: Randy Cooper Parks Dept. Staff: Jeff Ketchum Parks Dept. Staff: Derek Mayden Staff presented Parks & Recreation 2018/2019 Budget Revenues and Expenditures to the committee for review. Discussion was held regarding the proposed revenues and expenditures. Dennis explained the process that staff followed to prepare the budget this year. Adjustments were made to specific line items based on past history and staff will be tracking expenditures throughout the year to maintain a more detailed understanding of budget expenditures. City staff is also utilizing a new budget software, OpenGov, this year to consolidate budget preparations. As there was no further business, a motion for adjournment was made by Maureen and seconded by Dena. 1
