ADOPTION OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS:
1. Regular meeting minutes of August 15, 2016
I. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Weirs Action Committee (WAC) – Weirs Beach and Endicott Rock Park Parking Lot – June
10th, 2017 to June 18th, 2017, from 7am to 8pm for fundraiser for Weirs Beach beautification.
B. Laconia Motorcycle Week Association – Weirs Beach parking lot – June 9th, 2017 to June
17th, 2017, from 8am to 10pm for Laconia Motorcycle Week Association fundraising.
C. Review of rule against use of Coast Guard approved life jackets.
D. 2017-2022 CIP Draft
II. FACILITY USE REQUESTS:
A. Salvation Army – Opechee Cove, Parking lot and Opechee Park house – October 29, 2016
Saturday from 8am to 2pm for the 12th Annual Turkey Plunge.
B. Faith Alive Christian Fellowship- Opechee Park, Elm Street- Sunday, October 9, 2016 from
12:30pm to 3:00pm for outreach.
C. VLD Fitness, LLC- parking lot/beach area- Saturday, October 1, 2016 or Sunday October 2,
2016 from 10am to 1pm for pound for a purpose: Conquer Cancer.
D. VISTESS(Volunteer in service to elm street school)- Robbie Mills- Sunday, October 2,
2016 from 11am for a student’s vs staff soccer showdown.
III. ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVALS-ROTARY PARK, BEACHES, WEIRS
AMPHITHEATER & PAVILION
The following wedding requests for Rotary Park have been approved administratively:
a) Johannah McAlpine- Weirs Community Park Pavilion- September 3, 2016 from 1:00pm
to 5:00pm for a Birthday Party.
b) Samantha Howe & Shawn Hawkins- Rotary Gazebo- September 30, 2017 from 2:30pm to
6:00pm for a wedding ceremony.

5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, if you will not be attending the meeting.

a. Metalabs, Ideas for future assistance from Metalabs
b. Kohl’s volunteers for art cleaning
c. Informational brochure on “Public Art in Adams Dairy Cooridor” publishing info
d. Public Art in Blue Springs book- schedule meeting date/time
e. “Fire, Earth and Water” – arrange to take to Janet Kummerlein for repair
f. Planning Guidelines for placing public art in private development
5) “Momentum” 2019 Temporary Public Art Exhibit
a. Temporary signage- needed at each artwork
b. People’s Choice- what to do
c. Request publicity in Mayor’s newsletter- when?
d. Brochure status- deadline to go to printer
e. Mailing list status
f. Dedication date- Thursday, June 13
-Refreshments- Kathe, Greta, Larry
-Program- need to confirm artist and other guests; program design
-Dedication of “The Ultimate Truth” – design and order plaque
g. Posters- order large posters or artworks- can be used at Corks and Canvas event as well
6) 2020 Public Art Exhibit- items to be discussed at May meeting
a. Update on planning for commissioned artwork
b. Calendar dates: set times to do Café contract; theme ideas; Call elements and dates
7) Scheduled Event Dates
a. Veterans Way Memorial Event-
Wednesday, May 15: Planning meeting at 3pm at Public Safety Building
Thursday, June 6: Event to start at 10:30am; PAC will assist with refreshments
b. Corks and Canvas- Saturday, June 22
-order banner (Blue Springs Public Art Commission) need size, color
-Any giveaways or activities to have at tent
