BLUFFDALE ARTS ADVISORY BOARD ELECTRONIC MEETING AGENDA Saturday, January 30, 2021 Notice is hereby given that the Bluffdale Arts Advisory Board will hold an electronic meeting on Saturday, January 30, 2021 via Zoom Video Conferencing, scheduled to begin promptly at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible. *THIS MEETING WILL ONLY BE CONDUCTED ELECTRONICALLY* REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING 9:00 A.M. 1. Roll Call 2. Discussion on Summer Ideas: a. Steel Magnolias in April – directed by Kelsha Peterson: o Cast of 6. The schools are not available due to the end of year activities. The Sandra Lloyd Arts Center is the 2nd weekend of April. o Sound or do we need to use Riverton’s light and sound? o Tech rehearsal Saturday between conference sessions? b. Three small plays in the park on the little stage in May, June, and July: o Free of charge as there is not a way to block off an audience. o Small casts of 5-8. o Unit sets. o Refreshments? o Sound issues – Ralph o Lighting – rent stuff? o Start time due to late sun set or set up curtains to shield? o Paid directors? o Director ideas?  Peter Johnson – The Nerd  Laura – May Star Spangled Girl c. Annie the first weekend of August – our usual dates for summer: o At the Hidden Valley Middle School. o Keep the same cast with additions where necessary. o Double cast the ensemble with each group playing every other performance. d. Music and Arts events – Nate / Holly / Scott e. Old West Days f. Budget: o Sound equipment for outside. o Sound walls. o Rent lighting. 3. October dates reserved – possibly: o *October 13-23 (keep in mind this is during Fall Break) – signed up for this one. o October 20 - 30 o October 27 - November 6 o November 3 – November 13 o November 10 – November 20 (this falls outside of the window of agreement, could be negotiated) 4. Audition questions - How to handle auditions? One audition for all (4) shows at the same time? Zoom audition/send in video/other ideas? Advertise as a season? 5.
