February 17, 2024
Roll Call: Laura Garner, Kerry Severn, Julie Fox, Kelsha Peterson, Megan Mitchell, MaryAnne Dunn, Ruth
Gledhill, JoAnn Frost, Melanie Gonzalez, Hilda Gonzalez, Chelsea Otteson.
No minutes from last meeting to approve.
Melanie to take minutes.
Board members: 5 present – quorum is present for voting

New Board Members – Kelsha Peterson nominated by JoAnn seconded by Laura. Unanimous in the
affirmative. Megan Mitchell nominated by JoAnn seconded by Julie. Unanimous in the affirmative. Two
spots available. Will be open to the residents for applications.
Megan will be taking the Publicity position.
Calendar reviewed. Art to add the following:
Call for Entries: May 1st – 28th, online pictures
Art Drop Off: June 3rd 4-7pm at the City Building
Opening Night: June 7th 6-8pm
Taken Down: June 28th
Art Show Entertainment: Newsies group Friday June 7th 6-8pm
Black Lights being purchased; boat made by Kelly Checketts, Ruth will paint; purchase our own stage so
we don’t have to borrow Julie’s.
Thinking about lights for outside. Julie and JoAnn to submit bids for lights.
Strobe light needed for Mermaid. Eric to look for strobe lights unless there is something built into the
school system.
Mermaid Needs:
Julie – Flowers, House Manager
Ruth – Tickets
Silent Sky: Need stars, scripts.
Next Production Meeting: April
Art Show: Cash Prizes, awards, publicity, refreshments. Art in the Park need funds. Ruth to provide
budget. Maybe put winners in the show programs? Day of awards introduce winners at the beginning of
the outdoor show.
Newsies: Severns to choreography. Melinda to Direct. Kelsha to assist.
Kara workshop: have the kids be in the Newsies numbers. Will need to make more newspapers.
Anastasia: Dates TBD.
December show: Radio show. Julie to Direct. Laura to costume. Chelsea to help with music.
Grant: Form from directors. Melanie to help with get these filled.
5 year plan: own theater, increase art budget, lights, Peter Pan, more props.
