BORDENTOWN, NEW JERSEY DECEMBER 6, 2024 The Meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held at the City of Bordentown Municipal Complex, 101 E. Park Street, at 8:00 AM. The Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jennifer L. Sciortino. The Acting City Clerk read the Sunshine Notice. The following named Commissioners answered the roll call: Mayor Jennifer L. Sciortino, Deputy Mayor Joseph D. Myers and Commissioner Heather Cheesman. Mayor Sciortino moved to approve the minutes of October 8 and November 12, 2024 Commission Meeting, seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers. Motion Carried. MAYOR SCIORTINO, DIRECTOR OF REVENUE AND FINANCE Mayor Sciortino, Director of Revenue and Finance, presented the Treasurer’s Report for the month ending November 30, 2024. Mayor Sciortino, Director of Revenue and Finance, presented the Collector’s Report for the month ending November 30, 2024. Mayor Sciortino presented Resolution 2024-123 for adoption and approval as follows, seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-123 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 2024 BUDGET INTERDEPARTMENTAL TRANSFERS Mayor Sciortino presented Resolution 2024-124 for adoption and approval as follows, seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-124 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF BILLS Mayor Sciortino presented Resolution 2024-125 for adoption and approval as follows, seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-125 CANCEL TAX DELINQUENCIES/REFUNDS OF LESS THAN $10.00 Mayor Sciortino presented Resolution 2024-126 for adoption and approval as follows, seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-126 DESIGNATING BANK OF PRINCETON AS OFFICIAL DEPOSITORY FOR THE TAX COLLECTOR’S LIEN REDEMPTION ACCOUNT AND AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES FOR SAME Mayor Sciortino presented Ordinance 2024-14, Establish Rates of Compensation & Period of Payment for Same for second reading and hearing, seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers. ORDINANCE 2024-15 GRANTING AN EASEMENT OVER A PORTION OF BLOCK 705, LOT 12 There being no comment from the public, the public portion of the meeting was closed. } Jennifer L. ORDINANCE 2024-16 GRANTING AN EASEMENT OVER A PORTION OF BLOCK 904, LOT 26 There being no comment from the public, the public portion of the meeting was closed. } Jennifer L. Myers Abstain} } Heather Cheesman Absent} Mayor Sciortino presented the following Committee appointments: Bordentown City Planning/Zoning Board Justin Braz – Term Expires December 31, 2026 Bordentown City General Parks Committee Cathy Elliott Shaw – Term Expires December 31, 2027 Bordentown City Shade Tree Commission Thomas Bartlett – Term Expiring December 31, 2029 DEPUTY MAYOR MYERS, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROPERTY, STREETS AND WATER Deputy Mayor Myers, Director of Public Property, Streets and Water, read the Water Report for the month ending November 30, 2024. Deputy Mayor Myers presented Resolution 2024-127, seconded by Mayor Sciortino, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-127 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF THE PERFOMANCE BOND POSTED BY DUNNS MILL ROAD INDUSTRIAL Deputy Mayor Myers presented Resolution 2024-129, seconded by Mayor Sciortino, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-129 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION RELATING TO AN EMINENT EMERGENCY AT WATER TREATMENT PLANT Deputy Mayor Myers presented the Public Works/Water Utility Update., COMMISSIONER CHEESMAN, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND AFFAIRS Commissioner Cheesman presented the Police Report Detailing Activities: November 5, 2024, to December 4, 2024. Commissioner Cheesman presented the Housing Report for Month Ending November 30, 2024. Commissioner Cheesman presented Resolution 2024-128, seconded by Mayor Sciortino, Motion Carried. RESOLUTION 2024-128 ADOPTING THE 2024 BURLINGTON COUNTY MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN Commissioner Cheesman presented, Ordinance 2024-17 for Second Reading: Ordinance Amending Chapter 258 Entitled Vehicles and Traffic - Handicap Parking Space – 317 Prince Street seconded by Deputy Mayor Myers. The hearing was opened to the public. ORDINANCE 2024-17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 258 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF BORDENTOWN, ENTITLED, “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC” There being no comment from the public, the public portion of the meeting was closed. } Jennifer L.
