PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF BOSSIER CITY STATE OF LOUISIANA TAKEN AT A PUBLIC HEARING JUNE 13, 2022 The City Council of the City of Bossier City, State of Louisiana, met for a Public Hearing in Council Chambers, 620 Benton Road, Bossier City, Louisiana, June 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM Present: Honorable, President Don Williams, Honorable Councilors Chris Smith, Jeffery Darby, Jeff Free and Vince Maggio Also Present: City Attorney, Charles Jacobs, Assistant City Attorney, Richard Ray and City Clerk, Phyllis McGraw Mr. Williams called the meeting to order. Gary Joiner, Demographer, went over the 2 maps to be decided on. Charles Jacobs, City Attorney, reminded Council and audience that if the 7 District Maps are the wish of the Council, a Charter Commission must be formed and a vote of the people must happen before it can be adopted. Mr. Williams opened the Public Hearing up for comments. Bossier residents Holly Ford, Taunton Melville, Lisa Johnson and Lee Jeter, Sr. all asked questions and spoke on maps. No action taken by City Council Mr. Williams adjourned the Public Hearing at 6:59 PM after there were no other public comments.
