1. CALL TO ORDER:
Call to order @ 7:02pm
2. SWEARING IN COUNCIL MEMBERS
2.1 All the members were sworn in.
One position open was asked if anyone was interested interest by two people Tim Weniger
and Carey Lambrix. Motion made vote taken for Tim Weniger - Tim Weniger swore in.
Moved by Trustee Larry Weniger, seconded by Trustee Cesar Leon, Motion to appoint Tim
Weniger to the position.

8. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
8.1 Dix Road update
The Land management engineers/Drain Commission put this project out for bids and
will be accepting bids and awarding the job to start in February 2025
8.2 Chicken ordinance
The board reviewed old ordinances from 1883 and 1991/1999.

9. NEW BUSINESS:
9.1 Snowplowing
Snow Plowing Maintenance Bid received from the Van Buren County Road Commission
for the 2024/2025 snow season. At the Cost of $341.68 per plow
Moved by Trustee Larry Weniger, seconded by Trustee Paul Cooley, Motion to approve the
bid form the county to plow the snow

9.2 Flags down/Christmas Lights up
discussion by the board to take down all the small flags on the poles throughout the
village for the winter and to put up the Christmas lights the week of Thanksgiving.
9.3 Stripping on the road
The clerk will contact companies to do the striping on all the roads.
9.4 Budget Adjustments
Major Roads and General Fund Budget reviewed for adjustments.
Moved by Trustee Larry Weniger, seconded by Trustee Cesar Leon, Motion to adjust the
Major Road Budget and to the General Funds Budget as presented.

10. PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Kathy Hull - 170 W. Main St. asking if the culverts/Ditches on Howard St can be cleaned out,
ask why there wasn't a flag on the pole by her house and requested that one be placed there
when they are placed again.

Carey Lambrix - 58 N. Pine St. asked if the Clerk received his email and asked that it be
shared with the board.
11. BOARD COMMENTS:
Trustee L. Weniger - No Comments, Trustee P. Cooley spray for the weeds needs to be
moved into the main building for winter. Trustee C. Leon asked when the park area was going
to be completed. Trustee T. Weniger no comments President Rogusta informed the board
about the last RTF meeting he attended on the roads for federal funding that most small
communities are dropping out of the program due to the extra cost of the engineering
companies.
