Organization Call to Order – 7:33pm Roll Call Moment of Silence/Pledge of Allegiance Approval of Agenda: CM Morlan motion to approve the agenda with no additions, CM Olano second, VM Clark objects to the motion; wants his objection on record. Mayor requests roll call, CM Harrison-no, VM Clark-abstain, CM Morlan-yes, CM Olano-yes, Mayor Treminio-Lopez-yes. Motion passed 4-1. Presentation: Delegates Diana Fennell and Jimmy Tarlau On May 11, 2016 the Broad of Public Works approved a grant in the amount of $150,000.00 for the Brentwood Town Center. Delegate Diana Fennell announced her 5th annual birthday give back on August 6th for District 47. Delegate Jimmy Tarlau wants residents to be informed all of the bills that passed in Annapolis, maybe put an article in our newsletter and or website. Wants to get the word out to PG County residents that don’t apply for all the tax credits that out there. VM Clark wants residents get on the Annapolis mailing list. Delegate Diana Fennell wants everyone to know all the good work that is being done; there were almost 3000 bills this session. A lot of good bills passed. CM Morlan motion to approve Minutes from Budget Ordinance Reading on May 18th, Council Meeting on May 18th, Budget Ordinance Reading on May 20th, Budget Reading on May 25th 2016, CM Olano second. Motion passed 4-1, VM Clark abstained. Treasurer Shelley Gaylord seeking approval to pay the bills with a total of $24,975.52. VM Clark motion to pay the bills for a total of $24,975.52 of which the sub amount to be approve is $5,255.54, CM Morlan second. Voice vote-all voted yes. Town Administrator Reggie Bagley read his written report into record. 1 VM Clark motion to receive the Town Administrators report, CM Harrison second. Voice vote. All voted yes. Old Business: Discussion on metal dog waste signs-Mayor tabled this to the first meeting in July Treasurer Shelley Gaylord-discussed with the Mayor and Council about the Town’s options on the Credit Card readers. Mayor and Council asked the Treasurer to pick her choice. She picked a reader that cost 304.99. The Treasurer asked for more money to pay any needed supplies; like paper for the reader. CM Olano motion to purchase the credit card reader for Town Hall in the amount of $304.29, The Ingenico ICT 220 in the amount not to exceed $400.00, VM Clark second. Voice vote-all voted yes. VM Clark motion to allocate $262.00 for the purchase of the chameleon cups for use in Ocean City and other Brentwood events from line item to be added by the treasurer, CM Harrison second. Voice vote-all voted yes. Mayor tabled the Cintas Contract for the June 15th meeting, so the TA can get uniform prices. CM Morlan motion to hold the ATHA Broad Meeting here on June 8th, CM Harrison second. Voice vote-all voted yes. New Business: Discussion of newsletter advertising was tabled because Mayor and Council don’t have enough information. CM Olano wants to defer this until the Fall, but start working on it in July. Resolution 2016-05-FY16 Line Item transfers. Treasurer wants to table this until next meeting. Mayor and Council all agreed. CM Morlan motion to deny the request for handicap parking for Allison Street, CM Harrison second, voice vote-all voted yes. CM Harrison motion to hold the Hispanic Business Owners meeting here at the Town Hall on June 17th at 8:30am, VM Clark second, voice vote-all voted yes. CM Harrison motion to approve the Chief’s Award Breakfast tickets for 8 people $240.00; coming from line item number 5-4135, VM Clark second, voice vote-all voted yes. VM Clark request list of staff attendees: Chief and guest, Joe Frolich and guest, Quianna Taylor and guest, CM Morlan and TA. VM Clark motion to provide the location for the 47th District Community Picnic on September 10th at Bartlett Park on September 10th, CM Harrison second. Voice vote-all voted yes. 2 CM Harrison motion to be in the program also with that motion to hold off on any spraying until we (Mayor & Council) are briefed by the Department of Agriculture, CM Morlan second, Mayor request roll call: 4 voted yes, VM Clark voted no. Motion passed 4-1. CM Olano motion to meet with Smith Architects on June 7th at 7:30pm, CM Harrison second. Voice vote-all voted yes. VM Clark motion to cancel the first meeting in August, CM Harrison Second, voive vote-all voted yes. CM Harrison motion to schedule only one meeting in July which is July 20th, CM Olano second. VM Clark requests roll call. TA called the roll: 4 voted yes, VM Clark voted no.
