Read by the Mayor
Public Comments
COMMENT: AC Warden 40th Street
Would like to see the same thing happen on 40th street between Upshur St. and Volta
St. due to parking from other residents.
Mayor and Council Comments
Council Member Harrison: Agrees that parking permits should be considered.
Vice Mayor Clark: Concerned that no letter was sent to the residents who will be
directly affected by this ordinance.
Council Member Morlan: Mentioned that 37th Place should also be included in this.
Council Member Olano: Suggest the Town consider residential parking across town.
Mayor: Has heard the residents complain about evening parking.

Town Hall, Brentwood, Maryland
Council Meeting
Mayor and Council Comments
Council Member Harrison: None
Vice Mayor Clark: Concerned that the question is not stated clearly. Also believes the
increase is large but probably will not be change in the next ten years.
Council Member Morlan: She doesn’t believe this amount is as large as the Vice
Mayor is making it sound.
Council Member Olano: Wondered if “Majority of voter’s counts” means that it must be
over 50% of those who voted or 50% of voter. Chief Election Judge was not able to
answer.
Mayor: None
Town Administrator: Wants clarity of the question to be placed in the Ballot. Vice
Mayor Clark responded with “Are you for or against the increase of the salary for
Council Members from $225 to $400 and to increase the Mayor salary from $300 to
$500 per month?” with two boxes (For and Against)
Meeting adjourned at 8:01pm
Motion to Adjourn by Vice Mayor Clark seconded by Council Member Morlan.
Approved by voice vote, all in favor.
