All in favor. Approved. Public Comment: Jeff Clark (Perry Street)- Noted that the Budget Ordinance needs to be passed 32 days before July 1st. Advises that the Council move quickly to be within the legal requirements to have this completed on time. Also, inquired about the Constant Yield Tax. Agenda Items: Line Review of the FY 2018 Budget (Restricted Categories and Follow-Ups) The Council agreed to make the following changes to the budget Line Item 5-4010 (Public Safety) was reduced to $42,000. The other $200,000 was placed in the Town Center Restoration. Line Item 5-1246 (Special Appropriations) was reduced to $0. Line Item 5-9606 (Community Legacy) was reduced to $0. Line Item 59-020 (ATHA Trails Heritage) gets an increase of $2896. Line Item 59-087 (CDBG PY 42) gets in increase of $2500 go to towards the Windom Rd. Historical Project. Line Item 59-405 (Highway User) gets an increase of $2750 go to towards the Windom Rd. Historical Project. Line Item 59-023 (Brentwood Business Association) gets an increase of $500. Council allocated $3000 in computer costs to come out of the FY 2017 budget. Council is considering the allocation of $35,000 in the FY 2018 budget to hire an HR Specialist.
