ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS AGENDA Tuesday, July 23, 2019 7:30 P.M. 1. V-1-2019 - Naseer 40 Austin Place An application for a building permit to install a new in-ground swimming pool, patio and terrace at an existing single family dwelling was denied due to nonconformity with Section 220.9, Regulations of Swimming Pools; paragraph B. (2) of the Code of the Village of Briarcliff Manor whereby 100 feet is required from the street line and 63.2 feet is proposed and 100 feet is required from the left side line and 18.7 feet is proposed. 2. V-3-2018 - Louie 32 Admiral Worden’s Lane The Applicant seeks to appeal the Building Inspector’s decision that the height of fences is measured from the ground and seeks an interpretation of the Zoning Code; by interposing a space between the ground and the bottom of the fence, the top of the applicant’s fence is 8’ or more above-ground whereas 6’ was permitted by prior variance granted on July 23, 2018. 3. V-5-2019 - Randazzo 149 Long Hill Road An application for a building permit to install a new in-ground swimming pool at an existing single family dwelling was denied due to nonconformity with Section 220.9, Regulations of Swimming Pools; paragraph B. (2) of the Code of the Village of Briarcliff Manor whereby 100 feet is required from the street line and 83.1 feet is proposed. 4. V-6-2019 - Smith 3 Holbrook Road An application for a building permit to construct a one-story kitchen and bedroom addition at the north side of an existing single-family dwelling was denied due to nonconformity with Column 8, Front Yard Minimum Yard Dimensions of Schedule 220 Attachment 2 of the Code of the Village of Briarcliff Manor whereby 40 feet is required and 18 feet is proposed.
