TOWN COUNCIL WORK SESSION Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 7:00 PM Bristol Town Hall Council Chamber MINUTES CALL MEETING TO ORDER Thursday, June 18, 2024 Council President Jeff Beachy called the regular council meeting to order at 7:00pm. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE led by Sergeant Adam Dernay ROLL CALL Members Present: Doug DeSmith, Dean Rentfrow, Cathy Burke, Gregg Tuholski, Jeff Beachy Others in attendance: Legal Counsel Alex Bowman, Sergeant Adam Dernay, Clerk-Treasurer Cathy Antonelli, Town Manager Mike Yoder, Fire Chief Nik Kantz. APPROVAL OF AGENDA- one addition to Clerk-Treasurer- (b) review quote for printing of a mailer. Agenda stands as amended. Note from the Council President: tonight’s meeting is a work session and there is not a public comment section this evening. Tonight’s agenda includes a presentation from Baker Tilly to help Council better understand the differences between Fire Territories and Fire Districts. REPORTS TOWN MANAGER Mike Yoder Mike Yoder introduced Susan Collins from Baker Tilly. Susan shared a presentation that included options and discussion surrounding a Fire Territory and Fire District. TOWN ATTORNEY Alex Bowman - Available to further discuss fire territory/district and how that’s relative to the Town and/or the Council tonight or in the future. CLERK-TREASURER Cathy Antonelli - Discussion about changing one of the Town PO Box numbers. Council chooses to keep things as they are. - Bulk mailer option to help provide better communication to the community Quote from Maple Leaf Printing out of Goshen for a two-sided color newsletter, to print, fold, mail merge & mail quarterly to approximately 700 addresses - $490.  Motion to move forward with the newsletter quote made by Dean Rentfrow, Seconded by Doug DeSmith. Voting Yea: Cathy Burke, Doug DeSmith, Greg Tuholski, Jeff Beachy, Dean Rentfrow. Motion carries. QUESTIONS ABOUT UPCOMING COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA ITEMS Town Manager Mike Yoder noted that we will have to replace a main on Indiana. An extra meeting needs to be scheduled for the CCMG grant. We will open bids and award the contract. Bids are to be in-house on the 3rd. Special Council Meeting set for Monday, July 8 at 3:00. Executive session date to be locked in at Thursdays Council Meeting. Resumes are due by this Friday, June 21, 2024.
