Minutes of the Bristol Tennessee City Council Work Session July 30,2019 The Bristol Tennessee City Council work session was called to order by Mayor Margaret Feierabend on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 5:33 p.m. in the conference room of the Ewell Easley Municipal Annex Building. Members of City Council present included Mayor Margaret Feierabend, Vice Mayor Mahlon Luttrell, Councilman Chad Keen, Councilwoman Lea Powers, and Councilman Vince Turner. City staff members present included City Manager Bill Sorah, City Attorney Danielle Smith, Director of Development Services Tim Beavers, Director of Economic Development Tom Anderson, Director of Community Relations Terrie Talbert, Director of Parks and Recreation Terry Napier, Director of Finance Tara Musick, City Engineer Jake Chandler, Planning Services Manager Cherith Young, Transportation Engineer David Metzger, Business Development Specialist Jon Luttrell, and Information Technology Specialist Greg Cross. The agenda for the meeting included the following items for discussion, with no formal action being taken. 1. Presentation-Zoning Ordinance Amendment for Regulation of Electronic Message Boards 2. Presentation - Zoning Ordinance Amendment for Access Control Standards 3. Proposed Abandonment of Street Rights-of-V/ay for Middle School Construction 4. Policy for the Disposal of Surplus Property 5. Proposed Amendment to Land Lease for Tenneva Hotel Project 6. Birthplace of Country Music Request for Use of Public Property for Beer Garden 7.
