CITY COUNCIL CALLED WORK SESSION
April 8,2021
The City of Bristol, Tennessee City Council Called Work Session was called to order by Mayor Mahlon
Luttrell on March 23, 2021 at 12 Noon. The meeting was held electronically via Zoom.
Present were Mayor Mahlon Luttrell, Vice Mayor Vince Turner, Councilwoman Feierabend, Councilman
Keen, and Councilwoman Lea Powers.
Others present were City Manager William L. Sorah, City Attorney Danielle Smith, City Recorder Tara
Musick, Director of Community Relations Jon Luttrell, Director of Development Services Tim Beavers,
Information Technology Senior Manager Shane Vamey, and other City staff.
Discussion of Necessity for Conducting Electronic Meeting - Ms. Smith reviewed the legal requirements
to conduct the meeting electronically. Councilwoman Lea Powers made a motion to hold the meeting
electronically due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Councilwoman Margaret Feierabend seconded the
motion. All council members voted yes to holding the meeting electronically.
The agenda for the meeting included the following items for discussion, with no formal action being taken.
1. Presentations from Non-Profit Organizations
a. Birthplace of Country Music(Leah Ross, Executive Director)
b. Believe In Bristol(Maggie Bishop, Executive Director)
c. United Way Of Bristol, Inc.(Lisa Cofer, Executive Director)
d. Paramount Center for the Arts(Rob Simis, President)
e. Theatre Bristol(Samantha Gray, Director)
There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned at approximately 3:00 p.m. by Mayor Euttrell.
