Minutes of the Bristol Tennessee City Council Called Work Session June 5,2023 The City Council called work session was brought to order by Mayor Vince Turner on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 5:02 P.M. in the conference room of the Ewell Easley Municipal Annex. Members of City Council present included Mayor Vince Turner, Vice Mayor Mark Hutton, Councilwoman Margaret Feierabend, Councilman Mahlon Luttreil, and Councilwoman Lea Powers. City staff members present included City Manager Kelli Bourgeois, City Attorney Danielle Smith, Director of Administration Mary Lee Williams, Director of Finance Hollie Verran, Accounting and Budget Manager Sheridan Perumal, Director of Community Relations Jon Luttreil, Director of Economic Development Tom Anderson, Police Major Terry Johnson, Fire Chief Mike Carrier, Director of Parks and Recreation Terry Napier, Director of Operations Dave Wilson, and IT Manager Greg Cross. The agenda for the meeting included the following items for discussion, with no formal action being taken. AGENDA FY 2024 Budget and Appropriation Discussion During the meeting, the City Council made a request that the City Manager in conjunction with staff: • Research if there are water issues with any of the four fields at Whitetop Creek Park and if so, advise the method and cost to remedy. • Ensure that remediation of any potential water issues at DeFriece Park are included in the costs of the Skate Park project planned for that location. • Prepare an equipment needs schedule for review by City Council. • Recommend a format for a financial report to be reviewed by City Council on a monthly or quarterly basis.
