Chief Wade introduced Mr. Jack Moulton, CALEA Assessor.
ITEM 3. Minutes of Previous Meetings for February 19, 2020
No additions or corrections. Minutes stand as presented.
ITEM 4. Financials
A. Receipts & Expenditures
All receipts were passed to each Board member for their review and the proper
signatures.
B. Treasurer’s Report
Harry Miller reviewed the balance sheet, monthly financial and monthly budget
reports. Tim Eads made a motion, seconded by Jim Messimer to approve the
report as presented. Roll call vote as follows: Eads – yes, Elliott – yes, Honaker –
yes, Messimer – yes, Miller – yes, Ring – yes, Wade – yes. Motion passed.
ITEM 5. Old Business
A. Report on Operations & Equipment
1. Overview of Operations
a. Daily Operations –
1. Ms. Key and Chief Wade advised the Board of the changes
in that had been made as pertaining to the COVID-19 virus.
b. Personnel
1. Callie Peltier is in her first phase of training.
B. Statistics
Ms. Key reviewed the month of February 2020.
ITEM 6. New Business
A. First Reading 2020-2021 Budget
Ms. Key presented the budget proposal. David Ring made a motion, seconded
by Harry Miller to approve the budget as presented. Roll call vote as follows:
Eads – yes, Elliott – yes, Honaker – yes, Messimer – yes, Miller – yes, Ring –
yes, Wade – yes. Motion passed.

ITEM 7. Discussion Items
Current Legislation – Ms. Key gave a brief status update of each.
1. HB2304 – Adds “emergency call takers and public safety dispatchers” to
the definition of first responder. Action deferred in Senate State & Local
Government Committee
2. SJR836 – Surcharge rate increase to $1.50 – currently on the calender for
the Finance Ways & Means Committee for tomorrow, March 19th.
3. HB1933 – T-CPR – is currently waiting to ve signed by the governor
4. HB1673 – Direct Dispatch - Action deferred in Senate State & Local
Government Committee
ITEM 8. Other Matters
Future meetings – Chief Wade asked Attorney Jones about the possibility of meeting via
teleconference. Attorney Jones advised that that is acceptable to do in these
circumstances. So, our next meeting may be held in this fashion.
