Roll Call attendance taken as follows: Commission Members present: Chairman Edward Bermann, Commissioner C.P. Hall II, and Commissioner Timothy Heilenbach Commissioner Members Absent: None PUBLIC COMMENT: None OMNIBUS AGENDA Approval of Minutes: Fire and Police Commissioners Regular Meeting held on June 7, 2023. Motion by Commissioner Heilenbach, seconded by Commissioner C.P. Hall II to approve the regular meeting minutes from June 7, 2023. Upon roll call, the motion carried as follows: Ayes: Chairman Bermann, Commissioner C.P. Hall II, and Commissioner Heilenbach. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. Discussion Items: A. Firefighter/Paramedic Primary Eligibility Register has been posted as of June 1, 2023. Chairman Bermann stated that the register has been posted. B. Fire Department Lieutenant and Captain Promotional Eligibility Register has been posted as of June 24, 2023. Chairman Bermann stated that the registers have been posted. C. Two Firefighter/Paramedic candidates are in the pre-employment testing process. Chairman Bermann provided an update on the pre-employment testing process. D. Police Officer Entry Level S.O.I. was held on June 26, 2023, with 12 candidates participating. Chairman Bermann indicated that it appears we will have 11 candidates and that the final list will be posted on July 14, 2023. The preference points deadline is July 10, 2023. Updated Rules and Regulations, Chapter 1 Chairman Bermann provided a copy of the Rules and Regulations, Chapter 1 which are the administrative procedures for the Board of Fire and Police Commisisoners. Chairman Bermann reiterated that there were no big changes. Commissioner Heilenbach and Commissioner C.P. Hall II did not have any concerns. Old Business None New Business None Executive Session 1. Pursuant to Section 2 (c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific Village employees. a. No need for executive session on July 5, 2023. Next Meeting Chairman Bermann stated that per the rules regular meetings shall be held as needed. Commissioner Heilenbach asked if they would be notified when a meeting is scheduled. Chairman Bermann stated that himself or Brad Mitchell would notify the Commissioners when a meeting is scheduled. Adjournment Motion by Commissioner Heilenbach, seconded by Chairman Bermann, to adjourn the July 5, 2023 meeting of the Fire and Police Commissioners at 6:11 P.M.
