Roll Call attendance taken as follows: Commission Members present: Chairperson C.P. Hall II, Commissioner Ray Williamson, and Commissioner Linda Dumas Commissioner Members Absent: None Also in Attendance: Fire Chief James Adams, Police Chief Michael Kuruvilla, and HR Manager Brad Mitchell PUBLIC COMMENT: None OMNIBUS AGENDA None Discussion Items: A. Signing of the final promotional list for rank of sergeant in the Police Department to be posted The Commissioners signed the final promotional list for rank of sergeant in the Police Department to make it official. B. Progress on new hires, applications received, etc. HR Manager Mitchell provided an update on the new hire process. Chief Kuruvilla provided an update on the lateral application process. C. Briefing on the new Union Contract with the Brookfield Police Department Chief Kuruvilla provided a summary of the new Collective Bargaining Agreement and copies were provided to the Commissioners. D. Change in rank of Captain to Battalion Chief in the Brookfield Fire Department Chief Adams stated that he has been working with the Village Attorney on the recommendation to change the rank of Captain to Battalion Chief. The Commissioners were in agreement with this change. Pursuant to Section 2 (c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific Village employees. a. No need for executive session on April 3, 2024. Next Meeting Chairperson C.P. Hall II stated that if a meeting next month was necessary that it would be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Adjournment Motion by Commissioner Williams, seconded by Commissioner Dumas, to adjourn the April 3, 2024 meeting of the Fire and Police Commissioners at 6:32 P.M. Upon roll call, the motion carried as follows: Ayes: Chairperson C.P. Hall II, Commissioner Williams, and Commissioner Dumas. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. C.P.
