Roll Call attendance taken as follows: Commission Members present: Chairperson C.P. Hall II, Commissioner Ray Williamson, and Commissioner Linda Dumas Commissioner Members Absent: None Also in Attendance: Fire Chief James Adams, Police Chief Michael Kuruvilla, and HR Manager Brad Mitchell OMNIBUS AGENDA 1. Approval of Minutes: Fire and Police Commissioners Regular Meeting held on April 3, 2024 Motion by Commissioner Dumas, seconded by Commissioner Williamson to approve the regular meeting minutes from April 3, 2024. Upon roll call, the motion carried as follows: Ayes: Chairperson C.P. Hall II, Commissioner Dumas, and Commissioner Williamson. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. PUBLIC COMMENT: None Discussion Items: A. Signing of the Final Eligibility Register for Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic A motion was made by Commissioner Dumas to approve the Final Eligibility Register for Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic. Motion seconded by Commissioner Williamson. Upon roll call, the motion carried as follows: Ayes: Chairperson C.P. Hall II, Commissioner Dumas, and Commissioner Williamson. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. The Commissioners signed the Final Eligibility Register for Entry Level Firefighter/Paramedic. B. Signing of the Final Eligibility Register for Entry Level Police Officer A motion was made by Commissioner Dumas to approve the Final Eligibility Register for Entry Level Police Officer. Motion seconded by Commissioner Williamson. Progress on new hires, applications, etc. Chief Kuruvilla provided an update on the Lateral Eligibility List Creation process. Chief Kuruvilla stated that the Department had received eight applications. D. Final Promotional Eligibility Register for Lieutenant in the Police Department is set to expire on July 6, 2024 HR Manager stated that he will reach out to IO Solutions to get the process started for the Final Promotional Eligibility Register for Lieutenant in the Police Department, which was set to expire on July 6, 2024. The Commissioners, Chief Adams, and Chief Kuruvilla discussed the possibility of an assessment center for the oral interviews. Old Business None New Business None Executive Session 1. Pursuant to Section 2 (c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific Village employees. a. No need for executive session on June 5, 2024. Next Meeting Chairperson C.P. Hall II stated that if a meeting next month was necessary that it would be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. Adjournment Motion by Commissioner Dumas, seconded by Commissioner Williamson, to adjourn the June 5, 2024 meeting of the Fire and Police Commissioners at 6:29 P.M.
