Over the past couple months, Community Development staff have been crafting several site designs and strategies to address the goals of the neighborhood plan update. During this meeting, residents, business owners, and elected officials will have the opportunity to view draft recommendations and other materials related to the update of this neighborhood plan. Attendees are invited to view presentation boards while Community Development staff will be available to answer any questions and gather feedback. City Staff will use the feedback gathered from this Neighborhood Information Meeting to strengthen, and revise accordingly, the draft alternatives and recommendations for the plan. These materials will be combined with a staff report detailing the overall planning efforts accomplished up to this point and presented to the Plan Commission for their review and direction on the phases of the overall plan update process. Background The City of Brookfield’s Department of Community Development is currently updating the Brookfield Road and Capitol Drive Neighborhood Plan initially adopted in 1999. As a resident or neighbor of this area, your input is valuable and will continue to guide the planning process. The first meeting covered the neighborhood plan update process, as well as dug deeper into perceptions and needed improvements of the neighborhood. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to go to the Brookfield Road and Capitol Drive Neighborhood Plan webpage, on the City of Brookfield Website, for more information and updates.
