ENGINEERING DIVISION 2000 North Calhoun Road Brookfield, Wisconsin 53005-5095 C T y O F (262) 787-3919 FAX (262) 782-1323 BROOKFIELD PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING Lisbon Road Rehabilitation and Pathway Construction 124 th Street to Lilly Road (Roadway Rehabilitation and Pathway Construction) Lilly Road to Hampton Avenue (Pathway Construction) Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Council Chambers - City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Road This letter is to apprise you of the City's plans to install a pedestrian sidewalk/pathway along the southwest side of Lisbon Road from 124 th Street to Hampton Avenue. In addition, Lisbon Road will be rehabilitated with a new pavement surface between 124 °1 Street and Lilly Road. Some minor storm sewer improvements are also anticipated. The proposed sidewalk/pathway is anticipated to be separated from the roadway and will be constructed within the Lisbon Road Right-of-Way (ROW). No easements or other interests from private property are anticipated. The City is currently developing intermediate plans and will have them available for viewing at the Public Information Meeting. Construction of the sidewalk/pathway includes tree removal (as needed), excavation, storm sewer, stone placement, asphalt pavement and turf restoration which is scheduled to commence by late Spring 2024 and be completed by Fall 2024. The City strives to provide a safe pathway while preserving high quality tree species and landscaping by designing a pathway that meanders to minimize these impacts. As a property owner adjacent to this project, you are invited to attend the second Public Information Meeting to be held at the Council Chambers within the City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Road, on Thursday, January 25, 2024. When available, the plans will be viewable online via the City's website http://www.ci.brookfield.wi.us (see under Latest News). As the plans progress and once finalized, they will be updated for further viewing online on the City's website.
