STATE OF TEXAS § CITY OF BROWNSVILLE § COUNTY OF CAMERON § NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING OF THE BROWNSVILLE BORDER FILM COMMISSION ADVISORY BOARD Pursuant to Chapter 551, Title 5 of the Texas Government Code, the Texas Opening Meetings Act, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Brownsville Border Film Commission Advisory Board, will be conducted on Thursday, May 23rd, at 5:00 p.m. at the Brownsville Convention and Visitors Bureau located at 1312 Adams St. Brownsville Texas, 78520. Members of the public who submitted a “Public Comment Form” will be permitted to offer public comments as provided by the agenda and as permitted by the presiding officer during the meeting. At the said meeting, the following items will be considered: 1.)Call to Order a) Roll Call 2.)Public Comments a. The “Public Comment Form” is designated for speakers to recognize and address the Brownsville Border Film Commission, as a whole – do not direct your comments to any individual members of the committee. b. Kindly submit a “Public Comment Form” an hour before the start of the scheduled meeting time with the City Secretary or online. Forms are not reserved for anyone, nor may time be deferred to anyone. PowerPoint presentations may not be accommodated. c. The public comment period is a total of 9 minutes. d. There is a three (3) ‐minute time limit per speaker. e. For the record, the speaker must identify by name before speaking. 3). Discussion, consideration, and action to approve the April 18th, 2024, meeting minutes. 4.) Executive Session a) Closed session pursuant to Tex. Gov't. Code Sections 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney) related to Bylaws for Brownsville Border Film Commission Advisory Board. (Film Commission Advisory Board). 5.) Discussion, consideration, and possible action of any Item(s) as discussed in Executive session. a) CONSIDERATION and ACTION, if any, related to Bylaws Brownsville Border Film Commission Advisory Board.
