Levee St. – 2nd Floor, Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas, 78520. Staff recommendation: Rehabilitation of the interior, preserving tin ceiling and historic façade including canopy and transom windows. Approval following staff recommendations. A.2 03152022 – 1224 E. Jackson St. District D4 Request: Demolition of the rear structure. Applicant: Oscar E. Platas, Jr. City Staff: Juan Velez, Historic Preservation Office, 956-548-6142. Staff recommendation: The structure does not have any of the original characteristics losing its significance and does not meet current requested living conditions.
