CITY OF BRUSH! MINUTES OF THE JUNE 22, 2015 – REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING The City Council of the City of Brush, Colorado met in regular session on June 22, 2015. Mayor Chuck Schonberger called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at Brush City Hall. The pledge of allegiance was given. Present on roll call were: Mayor Chuck Schonberger Councilor Jeanine Anderson Councilor Kimberly Dykes Councilor Vicky Quinlin Councilor Mark Smith Absent on roll call were: Councilor Rick Bain Councilor Heath Becker Also present were City Attorney Bo Chapin, Finance Director Joanne Gosselink, Community Service Director Lance Schwindt and City Clerk Andrea Strand. MINUTES The minutes of the regular meeting of June 8, 2015, were approved as submitted. VISITORS AND DELEGATIONS None. MANAGEMENT Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 835-15 An Ordinance Creating The Golf Course Advisory Board, and in Conjunction Therewith Adding Article 13 to Chapter 2 of the Brush Municipal Code Relating to the Golf Course Advisory Board Councilor Dykes moved, second by Councilor Quinlin to adopt on Second and Final Reading Ordinance 835-15 and approve publication by title only. The roll call vote was unanimous. Naming of the Brush Municipal Golf Course Mayor Schonberger stated that this item would be moved to the work session Council Proceedings – June 22, 2015 1 FINANCE City Disbursements Councilor Quinlin moved, second by Councilor Anderson to approve City bills from June 8-22, 2015 as amended from the agenda posting. The motion was approved unanimously by roll call vote. Police Chief Thomas • The police department and City are co-sponsoring a TIPS class. It is a class offered to liquor licensed establishments in Morgan County that teaches responsible alcohol serving. City Clerk Strand • Read upcoming meetings • Reminded everyone of the City/County meeting hosted by Brush on Monday, June 29 and asked for RSVP. Administrator Torres • Reported that a property that had been issued a notice to clean up had been sold and the new owner is in the process of repairing the house. Council Proceedings – June 22, 2015 2 MAYOR AND COUNCIL REPORTS The Mayor and Councilors who attended the recent Colorado Municipal League Conference in Breckenridge shared highlights from the various sessions they attended. Appointments to the Golf Course Advisory Board Mayor Schonberger stated that staff provided a list of potential Golf Course Advisory Board Members but an additional member would need to be added to comply with the Ordinance.
