CITY OF BRUSH! MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 15, 2018 – SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING The City Council of the City of Brush, Colorado met in special session on October 15, 2018. Mayor Charles R. Bain called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. The meeting was held at Brush City Hall. The pledge of allegiance was given. Present on roll call were: Mayor Charles R. Bain Councilor Heath Becker Councilor Vicky Quinlin Councilor Daniel R. Scalise Councilor Dana Sherman Absent: Councilor Jeanine Anderson Councilor Marlene Baker Also present were City Administrator Monty Torres, City Attorney Bo Chapin, and City Clerk Andrea Strand. VISITORS AND DELEGATIONS None MANAGEMENT Mayor Bain allowed Council to review the various documents concerning Proposition 110 and Amendment 74 that was provided by Colorado Municipal League. Resolution No. 2018-16 Endorsing Proposition 110 By The Brush City Council, To Implement The Statewide Sales Tax Solution Dedicated To Transportation Councilor Scalise offered a motion, second by Councilor Quinlin to approve Resolution No. 2018-16 Endorsing Proposition 110 By The Brush City Council, To Implement the Statewide Sales Tax Solution Dedicated to Transportation. It was approved unanimously by roll call vote. Resolution No. 2018-17 A Resolution Of The Brush City Council Opposing Amendment 74, A Proposal To Amend The Colorado Constitution To Drastically Limit State And Local Government Services At A High Cost To Taxpayers Councilor Quinlin Offered A Motion, Second By Councilor Sherman To Approve Resolution No. 2018-17 A Resolution Of The Brush City Council Opposing Amendment 74, A Proposal To Amend The Colorado Constitution To Drastically Limit State And Local Government Services At A High Cost To Taxpayers. It Was Approved Unanimously By Roll Call Vote. Council Proceedings – October 15, 2018 1 REPORTS Administrator Torres  The Sales Agreement for the Brush Agri Park will be on the upcoming agenda  He signed an Agreement for the City to provide services for court appointed counsel. The will allow Council time to review options.  A company is discussing a solar garden with City staff.  ICS training will be available in the upcoming months for Council.  A meeting will be needed on November 5.
